The Foundation was founded in 2015. A large aim of the Foundation and it’s volunteers has always been to raise funds to support NMIS. The Foundation has met this goal by contributing to the success of the school through many worthwhile efforts. In the 2021-2022 school year alone, NMISF has:

Helped redecorate the teacher lounge, provided teacher appreciation gifts and activities, and provided over $1,200 for the Sunshine Committee, which celebrates and recognizes important milestones for teachers and staff

Helped the Student Council raise $1,500

Purchased playground toys

Painted the playground with games, hopscotch, a soccer field, etc.

Created community building events like Trunk-or-Treat and Wall of Love

Funded student activities such as the science fair, world poetry day, talent show, etc., including prizes

Paid staff stipends for special activities

Provided financial support for the After School Athletics Program

Donated new uniforms for low-income families
-
Funded lunches for low-income students
-
Donated art supplies when stock began to run low
-
And our largest contribution to date, a commitment of $107,000 to the playground structure - these funds have taken years to secure!
